The Junior Dubai Desert Classic will return in January 2024, ahead of the 35th edition of the 2024 HERO Dubai Desert Classic, to enable junior golfers in the UAE and beyond obtain competitive experience.
Registration for the 2024 tournament, which will be held on January 13 and 14 at Emirates Golf Club and hosted by Hero Dubai Desert Classic in conjunction with Emirates Golf Federation, is already available.
The first event was held this year, with Briton Joe Jones winning by two strokes.
The young competition, available to players aged 18 and under, will take place just a few days before the senior event, which will take place from January 18 to 21, 2024.
Golf’s young amateurs will each play one round on the legendary Faldo and Majlis courses as part of the 36-hole tournament, with access to the driving range, locker rooms, and lounges.
“The game of golf is growing at a rapid pace around the world, and itnosno different in the Middle East region with a large number of young players taking to the courses every week,” said Simon Corkill, executive tournament director of the HERO Dubai Desert Classic.

Following the tournament, organizers have confirmed that the tournament winner will receive a variety of exclusive prizes, including invitations to the Faldo Series Grand Final 2024 and the Shubhankar Sharma Junior Invitational Final 2024, as well as several experiences throughout the HERO Dubai Desert Classic weekend.
The deadline for registration is December 15. Players must be 18 years old or younger on January 13, 2024, and have a legitimate handicap of 14.4 or lower.
