Five Of The Best Dubai Luxury Golf Villas On The Market

1552

Golf season has arrived in the UAE. That means some of the sport’s biggest names will be jetting in to play for big prizes.

The action starts with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from November 15 to 18 at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. The tournament carries a purse of $8 million (Dh29.4m) with a bonus pool of $5 million shared between the top 10-ranked players in the Race to Dubai.

This means there is going to be some rich golfers come next week (if they were not already).

And should they fancy spending more time in the emirates and look to add to their property portfolio, we have rustled up five of the best homes on the market set around Dubai’s popular golfing locations.

Hillside, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dh26.9m

If you want to get extremely close to the action every year and not just as a visitor, then a home in Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) is the best place for you, unless you have a fear of wayward drives landing in your swimming pool.

This six-bedroom villa, marketed by LuxuryProperty, com, stands on a 16,500 sq. ft. plot and has a clean-cut finish throughout. The living room opens out on to a pool deck and beyond that the fairways and greens await.

One of the big selling points is the top floor “penthouse” which has an ensuite bedroom, walk-in closet, three terraces and lounge.

A home cinema and games room add to the entertainment when the likes of Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy are not in town.

Golf Homes, Arabian Ranches, Dh11.7m

It certainly has the right name if it is golf you are after. This five-bedroom property is quite different in that it is set over one floor and you enter via a front courtyard.

The living room features imposing pillars, while the master suite has golf course views and a nearby family room which could be used as a nursery.

The garden is yet to be landscaped, offering a new owner the opportunity to create their ideal outdoor space. At more than 23,000 sq. ft., the property stands on a huge plot.

Novelia, Victory Heights, Dh10.5m

Rather more budget friendly, you might not need to win the Race to Dubai to afford this one, but you will still need a fantastic job or sizeable inheritance to pay for it.

Set in a peaceful cul-de-sac, the six-bedroom villa has views over the 18th fairway of the Els Club in Dubai Sports City.

The standout feature is the outdoor space which has manicured lawns and a large pool making it an ideal spot to home a growing family. The look and feel of the property is less swanky than JGE and Emirates Hills but what do you expect for such a substantial drop in price?

Signature villa, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dh9.4m

It is back to JGE and this time a cheaper offering within the Wildflower neighbourhood of the community.

The country house theme takes you away from the desert-dwelling of the UAE, instead surrounding you with brick walls and columns, and wooden latticework.

It has five bedrooms and stands on a plot of 9,301 sq. ft., which includes, as usual, a landscaped garden with pool.

The wooden floors and marble staircase are a stylish addition and dirham for dirham, w would say this is the nicest of the bunch, although the adjacent properties are quite close so getting along with the neighbours may be a priority.

Emirates Hills, Sector E, Dh98m

There is no chance of feeling cramped in this three-storey house from which you can exit the back garden, cross over a bridge and straight on to the fairways of the Address Montgomerie.

The internal area alone is 27,000 sq. ft. with seven bedrooms and a home gym. The interior design was done by Jean-Louis Mainguy and Mauro Lipparini with beams imported from elsewhere in the region.

A nice touch, and one you should maybe expect when splashing out almost Dh100m, is temperature controlled stone flooring on the pool deck.
