Jumeirah Golf Estates Hosts Tommy Fleetwood Academy Junior Medal Series

The Tommy Fleetwood Academy (TFA) Junior Medal Series was recently held at Jumeirah Golf Estates, and it was a competitive and enjoyable event played on the front nine of the Fire course.

The competition drew 43 participants and was divided into seven groups to accommodate different skill levels and tee markers.

These featured net winners from four separate tee marks spanning distances of 100-150 yards from each hole – Signature Tees, Forward Tees, TFA Junior Tees, and the newly introduced St James’s Place (SJP) Tees.

The contest also included categories for the overall girls’ champion, gross winners from Forward and Signature Tees, and best net performances from SJP and TFA Tees.

The event was further enhanced by engaging activities such as TFA Professional Joe O’Connor’s “Beat the Pro” challenge on the second hole and the “Nearest the Pin” competition on Hole 8.

Alexander Rushika was the overall winner of the Signature Tees, receiving a score of +1. His round included two bogeys and a birdie on the par-5 7th hole.

Milana Rozhko earned the gross win in the Forward Tees category with a score of +11. Her round had notable performances, including three pars on holes 4, 5, and 8.

Paulina Murach won the overall girls’ championship with a score of +8. Notably, she made a spectacular gross birdie on the difficult par-5 7th hole.

Camelia Sebti won the best female from the TFA tees with a score of +10, while Iraisa Kaul won the best girl from the SJP tees with a score of +12 from the 100-150 yard range from each green.

Ethan Alan took the victory from the Signature Tees with a net score of -3. His outstanding performance includes net birdies on holes 3 and 4.

Samarbir Kochar finished second with an even-par effort, followed by Dhruv Sharma and Kabir Mishra.

Eugenio Galeppini won from the Forward Tees after a level-par effort. On the fourth and ninth holes, he made two net birdies.

Milana Rozhko finished second with a commendable score of +2, while Gary Feng finished third with a score of +3. Aditya Tomar rounded out the top three with a +4 score.

Victoria Rushika won the TFA Tees with a strong score of +3, thanks to a spectacular gross birdie on the 5th hole and consistent performance throughout the round.

Kiaan Maharaj took second place with a commendable score of +7. Arjun Koduro finished third with a score of +9, while Aditya Tomar finished fourth with a score of +11.

Ansh Dutta won from the SJP Tees with an even-par total that included two significant gross birdies on the 2nd and 6th holes. Frankie Fleetwood took second place with a score of +5, followed by Reese Hitchen in third place with a score of +5. Alex Andrews finished in first place with a score of +12.

Samarbir Kochar won the “Nearest the Pin” challenge during the on-course contests. In addition, Gary Feng won the “Beat the Pro” raffle.

Adam Stastny, Assistant Golf Services Manager, concluded the prize-giving ceremony by thanking everyone for their participation.

“We have had a great turnout for this month’s TFA Junior Medal Series at Jumeirah Golf Estates and we look forward to everyone’s continued support as the season progresses,” he told reporters.
